Products from the southern German company ZIEHL-ABEGG SE set global standards for reliability, efficiency and energy savings. The company, founded in Berlin in 1910, is a quality and technology leader in air, control and drive technology. The broad positioning is reflected in the areas of application: ZIEHL-ABEGG motors move the most modern computer tomographs around the world, as well as complex elevator systems. ZIEHL-ABEGG products are used in many areas where air has to be moved.

A PIM, MAM and cross-media solution tailored to ZIEHL-ABEGG's individual requirements was implemented on the basis of the crossbase standard software. The starting point is the interface to proALPHA and the measurement data system. All sales items with product features and measurement data are imported into the PIM system via these connections. The proALPHA data is then enriched in the PIM system with extensive product relationships, images, documents and texts and mapped in the various market- and media-specific product views. These include in particular the printed, multilingual and in some cases country-specific main catalogs, e.g. the "Centrifugal fans for air conditioning units" catalog with over 350 pages in German and English.

The catalog consists of product pages with complex tables (dimensioning tables, matrix tables and dimension tables) as well as editorial pages with extensive technical information. The page cross-references are worth mentioning. These point to the accessories and are resolved automatically. The product description texts are generated automatically from the technical features.

ZIEHL-ABEGG also uses the Office data sheet with a special function for characteristic curve diagrams.

A MAM system is used for internal purposes. Here, all types of image data and documents are managed in a MAM structure and made available to users via an intranet site.
