Husqvarna uses crossbase as a PIM and cross-media solution with a connection to the ERP system

Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH, based in Mattighofen, produces and develops race-ready off-road and street motorcycles and e-bikes. Husqvarna is the second oldest continuously producing motorcycle brand in the world after Royal Enfield and ahead of Harley-Davidson. Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of KTM AG.

Based on the crossbase standard software, the connection to the PIM and crossmedia individual solution of KTM AG and the continuously operated interface to the ERP system were implemented for Husqvarna. This connection was used to import all sales items with the existing product data into the PIM system. The products are created in the ERP system, transferred to the PIM and subsequently enriched with extensive product features (e.g. motorcycle chassis and engine, PowerParts and PowerWear features), product relationships (e.g. accessories, sets, spare and assembly parts), images, documents and texts and mapped in the various market- and media-specific product views. This includes various web interfaces in country-specific versions.

The formula-based calculation of attributes, e.g. for imperial values and concatenation of texts (including composite dimensions), as well as text generation, which generates multilingual texts from characteristics and reusable text modules, e.g. the description text or the model name, are extremely useful.
