Julius Blum GmbH is an internationally active supplier to the furniture industry. A success story spanning more than 60 years has turned Blum into an international company that manufactures hinge, flap and pull-out systems, primarily for kitchens.
Based on the crossbase standard software, a PIM, MAM and cross-media solution tailored to the individual requirements of Julius Blum GmbH was implemented. The starting point is the interface to the IBM host. All sales items, including technical data, are forwarded to the PIM system via this connection. The data is updated nightly. Defined workflow events are also triggered in the event of new or changed articles.The host data is enriched with extensive images, documents and texts in the PIM system and mapped in various market and media-specific product views. These include, for example, the POIS online product information system, the MAIS online marketing information system and the 700+ page product catalog, which Blum creates for over 25 countries.
The solution is rounded off by a linked translation system and the output of electronic catalogs in BMEcat format for trading partners.
