MAX FRANK had to decide whether to implement crossbase only as a data provider via API server or the entire online catalog with crossbase modules. The previous website only had links to the product areas and no articles or specific information were displayed. Taking performance into account, MAX FRANK decided to implement the online catalog with crossbase. The challenge was to display the large product range and make it easily available to customers.
All sales-relevant product information, such as article numbers, images, descriptions and technical and logistical data, is provided directly from the crossbase PIM system. Changes to the product data can be transferred to the external system at any time, ensuring that the content is always up to date.
The configuration of the online catalog can be flexibly controlled via the crossbase CMS. Search bars, filters and the selection of categories enable the user to quickly find the desired items and retrieve the product information. This includes images, texts and technical features, which are maintained and managed in advance in the crossbase database.
The online catalog is currently available in German, English, French, Swedish and Norwegian with a country-specific range. The articles also have country-specific variants. The translation process is completely covered by crossbase translation management. The processes thus remain standardized and a high quality of product information is ensured in all languages.
Items can be saved via a watch list and then requested from the manufacturer in the next step. With the help of the product comparison, several products can be compared with each other to find the best one for the desired application.
Each article page can be output as a daily updated data sheet in PDF format at the click of a mouse, which contains hyperlinks back to the online catalog. The product range lists, the print catalog of MAX FRANK, also do not contain price information, but also link to the online catalog via the article number, where daily updated prices from the database are given.

The company-specific design is taken into account and the data is always up to date thanks to the direct database connection.
